Crimson Chat

Crimson Chat (Image ID 40510)
CommentWe had been monitoring a pair of Crimson Chats as they gathered food about their territory. It was absolutely fascinating - and quite a privilege - observing this pair catching and eating insects of different sizes. Moreover, we could see the bird's preferred perches as they traversed their territory searching for food. Although there is no prey in this image I have chosen it as I like the alert pose and it was just after dawn and the light was quite breathtaking.
