Double-barred Finch

Double-barred Finch (Image ID 40464)
CommentThe intricate detail of this image is what appeals to me. The bird's colouration is nicely contrasted to the sandy background and highlights the plumage very well. The finch's pose is typical. I think that I startled it as it was feeding on the ground and it seems to be thinking " what the hell is that !!! " All in all , a photo that I'm proud of but , like a lot of my pictures , I have a lot to learn. Especially about depth of field.
