CommentThis Robin was flitting from tree to tree along a mountain track, feeding in an area where damp and more dense forest opens out into a scree area with more open vegetation. The low morning light highlights the feather detail and markings, and the chest stands out despite being in shadow. There's a hint of what it's feeding on with some cobweb and lichen, and perhaps the bird is alert and about to fly to its next perch... It sums up the perkiness of the robins and the way in which they can stand out or blend in against their background.
