Silvereye (Image ID 38850)
CommentEarly morning in Spring in Bold Park with numerous flowering bushes (I think this is Calothamnus quadrifidus [One-sided Bottlebrush, Common Net Bush]) attracting a lot of attention from honey eaters and silvereyes. These were hard to catch with a lot of "flitting about" but this one managed to hold still for just enough time. Whenever possible I like to catch the foliage and bracket the subject with some soft depth of focus to give context. [Moderator's note : ssp chloronotus from WA, sexes alike (IJW)]
