Commentssp Northern Mangrove Gerygone. Along the Kimberley coastline it is quite a challenge to distinguish the various spp of gerygone. They are extremely active small birds that move through dense foliage. I was very reliant on a lot of out-of-focus images to help me with identification. In the mangroves of the Western Kimberley it seems that the Dusky Gerygone is the dominant spp while in the Northern Kimberley I observed more Mangrove Gerygone. The red iris and white supercillium that extends beyond the eye identifies this spp.
