CommentIn 2017 we camped for five days in Murray-Sunset NP fruitlessly searching for the elusive Red-lored Whistler. On our 2018 camp we found one Red-lored Whistler and managed to get some good photos. On our 2019 camp we encountered a number of Red-lored Whistlers each day. This species is mainly found in small patches of mallee woodland that has not been burnt for many years. This image shows an adult male calling from a simple perch, in soft light with a good background.
