White-browed Woodswallow

White-browed Woodswallow (Image ID 36925)
CommentI have occasionally photographed woodswallows sitting on a perch with wings outstretched. I appreciated the imagery but had no idea of the significance of the behaviour. That was until recently while photographing a lone female White-browed Woodswallow that a male momentarily appeared. Now I understand - pretty sad really that I hadn't worked it out.
