Southern Boobook

Southern Boobook (Image ID 36916)
CommentI like this photo as it is the first time I have a photo of two owls without part of their faces obscured. They were being harassed by Blue-faced Honeyeaters. It was their noise that identified their position hidden on the palm canopy
[Moderator's note: this species roosts alone, or in family group; will therefore be a pair. Male and female alike.]
