CommentThe introduced weed Wild Tobacco (Solanum mauritianum) Is fruiting prolifically near the Orara River, and attracting considerable numbers of Brown Cuckoo-Doves. Although poisonous to humans, Cuckoo-Doves and other fruit-eating birds appear to find it palatable, and keep returning to the same trees every day.
