Pacific Gull

Pacific Gull (Image ID 36728)
CommentThere were just three gulls on the beach at Bushrangers Bay yesterday. This pair, one adult, a 3rd or 4th year bird to the rear, and one other, an immature 1st year bird. They kept close, moving between beach and water together

The bird at the rear of this pair has a mottled brown head and breast. This bird, larger than the other, also has a slightly heavier bill, not yet fully red, indicating a young male.
