Spotted Dove

Spotted Dove (Image ID 36028)
CommentI was just wandering around my son's garden filling in time looking for birdlife when this dove settled on a fence and stayed just long enough for a nice portrait opportunity. I have not taken many photos of this species before and as the bird was presenting in good light, and was positioned in a nice portrait pose it was a must photo. The photo is taken hand held and as the light was good the ISO was kept low which helped to minimise noise. Shutter speed was 1/800 sec which enabled a good level of clarity.
