CommentThis photo was taken during the wet season on Cape York. Locally it is known as The Alau Swamp it forms between the communities of Ijinoo, Umagico, Bamaga and the ocean (part of the Lockerbie Scrub KBA) which has large areas that get inundated with fresh water at that time. The swamp paperbark forests form an integral part of the biodiversity in this landscape.
