CommentA pair of this species which is endemic to Lord Howe Island. As part of the current (May 2019) rodent eradication program up to 85% of woodhens are being captured as an "insurance" population in case there is any secondary poisoning of non-target species during the rat baiting period.
EquipmentCanon EOS 7D MkII + 300mm f/2.8L MkII + 1.4x MkIII extender, handheld.
Manual, spot metering, f/7.1, 1/ 250 sec, ISO 1600.
Processed with DPP4 & Photoshop Elements 15 with Neat Image 8.3.
