CommentThis image was made at the Melbourne Water Treatment plant at Werribee Victoria. I picked this image as it was the final in a sequence from the start of the hunt, the attack and finally the success of the capture – how be it – with a beak full of weed as well. The dexterity of birds to use their beaks to make nests, catch food and in this case separate the weed and fish without losing its meal is a wonderful demonstration of the adaptation to life in nature.
