CommentSpoonbills usually loaf while standing on one leg but in this image we see a completely different loafing position. It was a warm afternoon so immersing the bottom section of the legs may be a way of regulating body temperature.
EquipmentCanon 5Ds + 400 mm f/4 DO II + 1.4x III extender, hand-held.
Manual, spot metering, AI Servo AF with 4-pt expansion, f/5.6, 1/4000 sec, ISO 400.
Processed using DPP4 and PSE14 with Neat Image plug-in.
