Australian Gull-billed Tern

Australian Gull-billed Tern
CommentLate afternoon along The Esplanade, Cairns with the sun over your shoulder and and a tide less than high brings out the crabs and the bird life to feed on them. This Gull-billed Tern has caught its meal and is off to enjoy it in some other place. I like the glint in its eye and the slight blurring at the tips of the wings to indicate movement.
