I took this photo in Brisbane at Sandy Camp Road wetlands, a location where Leaden Flycatchers are relatively common. However the photo I took this morning may be a Satin but I am not sure. Black on the throat seems to curve down at the edges rather than up, and in playing the call of the Satin on App later on, I think sounded the same as Satin rather than Leaden.

CSIRO Bird Guide says inside tail of Leaden is grey while the Satin it is Black, but had to tell from the image (for me anyway). Other photos I have of Leaden's seem to be paler? Purplish sheen also seems to be a little different also. In any case, I am not sure and have uploaded onto eBrid as Leaden, and would like to make sure that is right but also I have never recorded a Satin before (so I may not be as objective as other viewers). Any advice would be appreciated on this.

Regards
Geoff Dennis

Based on this photo I would go with Satin, based on the shape of the throat colour.
