I have visited Newport Lakes Reserve (in suburban Melbourne) a few times this week and have photographed a number of robins. I thought I was looking at Scarlet Robins but I can see some differences between the birds I photographed. One image already submitted to New Image Gallery was identified as a Rose Robin. Unfortunately I have not found any adult male robins in the reserve.

Sorry Catherine,
I don't have an answer for you, but they are very nice pics of juvenile Robins, thanks for sharing.

Hi Catherine
When I first sighted the image. I thought. Rose Robin. Although, not being an expert on robins, the white markings on the wing appear to be more consistent with a female or immature Rose Robin, going by Prizzey and Knight.
Thanks for posting the images.
Peter.
