I have been a member of Birdlife photography for about 6 weeks, but haven't properly introduced myself before. I am new to bird photography, but did do a bit of wilderness and wildflower photography when I lived in Tasmania, with my old film SLR. I have been submitting my images to the Critique gallery, and am learning a lot from the excellent feedback I have received. I now live near Coffs Harbour, in rural location surrounded by State forest and National Park - great bird habitat, with regular visits from rainforest birds to my backyard. . I have been interested in birds for a long time, and did the Graduate Diploma of Ornithology at Charles Sturt University some years ago. I am almost retired, but still do some casual work.

Welcome Alison and thanks for a bit more background about yourself. Your posts on the Critique Gallery have already provided something of an introduction for you and good on you for seeking feedback and improvement in this way. I'll look forward to seeing more from your in our various galleries.
