Lightroom Mentoring for Members.

Now that I have stepped down as President, I have more time available to directly assist my fellow BLP members. As I continue assisting our membership Coordinator – Robin Spry, in critiquing our new member portfolios, it is obvious that many members, new and not so new, struggle with shooting in RAW and using RAW converters. One such RAW converter for a post processing workflow is Lightroom. I have been using LR since version 2, released in 2008, and during this time I have undertaken over 300 hours of training and as such I know most of the pros, cons and work arounds for this software. During the last 5 years I have run a number of introductory LR workshops.

The greatest benefits to those who seek to become proficient in LR is one-one tuition. At present I am mentoring two BLP members in this capacity and I have one position remaining.

If you are interested in such mentoring, you work at your own pace and you communicate with me through emails, phone calls and Zoom meetings – the Zoom meetings depend on the information and level of assistance required. This is why my time commitment is limited to mentoring only 3 members at a time.

If you proceed, I ask you to download an ebook (about USD$45) by one of the gurus of LR, who is also a longterm LR beta tester. We work through the book together and I set readings for you to work through ahead of discussions. I also provide tips and tricks as we proceed and we develop a seamless workflow between LR and PS. Thus, the other requirement is an Adobe Photographers subscription for LR Classic and Photoshop.

If this interests you, email or call me.
