BirdLife Photography, as a National Special Interest Group, conducts most of its activities via this website.  It occasionally runs special events, such as the Digital Photography in the Bush long weekends, and the 2012 Gluepot campout which helped to set up the South Australian Photography Group.

If you are interested in participating in bird photography activities with other like-minded people, the following information on Photography Groups associated with BirdLife Australia branches may be useful.

Melbourne Photography Group

The Melbourne Photography Group conducts monthly photography outings or study nights each month except December.  Outings are usually on the third Saturday of the month at a site within an easy drive of Melbourne, and study nights are usually on the third Thursday.  If there is no national BirdLife Photography event, there is a long weekend outing once a year, to somewhere outside the group's normal range.
