CommentI have adjusted the lighting in this shot by using graduated filters to darken the sea and the sky, and using DxO's control points to lighten the bird. I have tried to use the positioning of the bird and the horizon to create an interesting composition. The yellow bill with a black tip is a characteristic feature of the Little Tern in breeding plumage. [Moderator's note: this feature is also present in Fairy Tern; the loral stripe extending to bill provides differentiation between species.]
