CommentA resubmission to replace an earlier post, with more open cropping and some small improvements in processing. The image seems to have more impact from switching to more of a rule of thirds subject placement, and the inclusion of the high tide mark and beach debris above it in the background places the bird feeding in the intertidal zone. The subject of attention appeared to be marine worms or possibly small bivalves in the sand profile, and I was fascinated by the bird's persistence and patience with the feeding hole it had made - it eventually paid off!
