Comment | The Cryptic Honeyeater (previously known as Graceful Honeyeater) is very similar to the Yellow-spotted Honeyeater, but can usually be separated by the call. It is difficult to separate them based on one photograph. Characteristics of the Cryptic Honeyeater here are the more slender, curved bill, the blue eye (adult), and the diagnostic plain, unstreaked underparts with a faint yellow line running down the centre.
