CommentUnlike in urban areas of the ACT, where Australian Ravens dominate, Little Ravens appear to be thriving in inner urban Melbourne. By way of contrast, the ACT's Little Raven can be found in the forested areas of Namadgi National Park. My emphasis on the artificial habitat for the image is deliberate. This image shows the throat hackles. The wing length relative to the tail is, in a sense, 'false'. The bird was preening and the wings are still held a bit lower than normal as a part of the preening process.
