CommentEnderby Island sits at the northern end of the Auckland Island and hosts a very small colony of breeding Southern Royal Albatross. Most SRA (99%) breed on Campbell Island. These birds are likely pre-breeding individuals that between 3 to 6 years of age gather in groups and go through amazing courtship behaviors to find a mate. It is hard to describe and difficult to capture through my images, the size and majesty of these incredible birds.
EquipmentNikon D800, Nikon AF-S 400mm 2.8E FL ED lens.
