Rainbow Bee-eater

Rainbow Bee-eater
CommentThis pair of adult female (left) and adult male (right) Rainbow Bee-eaters were enjoying a warm up in the early morning sun on the banks of the Katherine River. I entered this photo as the subtle beauty of their eye stripes as well as their wing and tail feathers showcase such beautiful bright blues. I was also pleased to get a photo of a pair of them close together
