Long-tailed Finch

Long-tailed Finch
Commentssp Eastern Long-tailed Finch. There were a couple of river crossings with concrete approaches near to the Riversleigh Fossil Fields 50km south of Lawn Hill NP. Many of the finches preferred to drink from water that was thrown up by the occasional passing vehicle into cracks in the concrete rather than risk the waters edge of the river itself.
