Comment:You know how it is with bird photography, you have to be ready for anything and the unexpected and have plenty of patients. Well, sitting quietly enjoying a Willie Wagtail try and drive a Raven away and watch the comings and goings of Black-faced Cuckoo Shrike in the tree above me, I noticed the occasional sortie by a male Rainbow Bee-eater fly out from a leafy tree some 100 meters away and snatch a Cabbage Butterfly in flight, I thought on one of these flights the male might just deliver one to his mate. Sure enough, it happened and my patients paid off, I managed to get most of the delivery flight to the female, her head is visible protruding from the grass, bottom left in the image, not an easy photograph to take as these birds fly like grease lightning.
