I am a new member submitting my first photo.
It is amazing how critical you become when you are choosing an image to submit!
I have only been birding since January 2017 and purchased my Olympus camera in February 2017. I have no experience with this kind of photography prior to Feb 2017. I shoot in JPEG.
I downloaded GIMP to resize the image before realising I can do it in "Preview" on my iMac.
GIMP is the only post-processing software I have installed and I have not used it as yet.
Cropping is the main adjustment I make to my photos, however with this one I felt that even though the bird is centred, there was a better balance leaving it as is.
I look forward to learning from your feedback.
