Australasian Darter

Australasian Darter
Photographed byDouglas Coughran on Fri 2nd Jun, 2017 and uploaded on Sun 23rd Jul, 2017 .
CommentIt was an overcast afternoon when I took this image of a male Australasian Darter on a jetty pylon, the dark feathers combined with the light from the backlit glare of the ocean and cloudy sky seemed to accentuate the white feather pattern in the folded wings, drawing the eyes into the image.
