Comment:I spent many days at the ANBG photographing honeyeaters during the annual migration to the High Country. While some Yellow-faced Honeyeaters stay on, most move on. Many spend a fair bit of time in the Gardens, taking opportunity of the abundant food sources. It was almost impossible to get an image that was clean - grevilleas tend not to work like that. One of my objectives was to capture the relationship between the grevillea projectors and the feeding bird. As the abundant pollen on this individual shows, the relationship seems to be working for honeyeater and honey provider.
I used a very shutter speed at times to try to freeze the movement of these hyperactive birds.
